Nutrition, unfortunately is often taken for granted although naturally very powerful it is often underestimated.  Yet without food and water we cannot survive.  So when you take it back to this basic fact alone, you can see the importance of optimum nutrition. 

I was consuming what most would profess to be a very healthy nutritious diet and it was not until I became very ill that I knew that I would have to reinvestigate the area of nutrition more thoroughly.  Hidden deep beneath the layers and layers of confusion and rhetoric I gradually started to unfold many hidden truths, as we are faced with so many untruths that are so backed up by bureaucracy & propaganda that they leave even the most qualified in the area of nutrition and food questioning what is fact and what is fiction.

I was a devoted vegetarian consuming an extremely 'LOW FAT' diet packed full of the healthy complete protein commonly known as 'Soy'.  I was an energetic young lively vibrant being until I suddenly became this withdrawn, sickly, lifeless individual, though as I was consuming a so-called 'healthy diet' the area of diet and nutrition was naturally the last thing to suspect as being the cause of my ill health.

I was experiencing night sweats, swollen lymph glands, extreme fatigue, oesophageal reflux; to name but a few, though after many visits to several GP's as well as a plethora of blood tests, ultrasounds and x-rays; several visits to an oncologist and even a gastroenterologist and none of these 'professionals' could identify what was making me ill.

It was then that I realised that I was going to have to be the one to take the bull by the horns & determine the cause of my ill health. 

It was through a path of self-discovery much in depth research & experimentation that I was able to identify the cause of my ill health; I too was able to identify the way in which to heal my body.  I then worked to correct my bodies imbalances and following this I identified the most suitable eating plan to meet my bodies own unique requirements, one that provided me with all the nutrients and nourishment that I required to be able to attain & sustain perfect health, though still at all times feel satisfied and fulfilled.

We always ensure that we put petrol; oil & water into our car, as without it, it will not operate.  We never presume that it is ok to fill our diesel car with petrol as we know that it will cause it damage and yet when it comes to nutrition, we often believe the propaganda as truth and never cross question it.  Well how can we when there is so much consumer confusion not knowing from one day to the next what is fact and what is fiction first we are told to eat margarine as it is the healthier option good for our heart and then the very next day we read that butter is in fact what we should all be consuming.  Talk about a minefield that we have to wade our way through.

I have always been aware of the importance of nutrition & yet it was not until it was blatantly staring me in the face that I realised just what sort of profound impact optimum nutrition has upon our health & wellbeing.

In my opinion if a person wishes to achieve perfect health then there is no area that is of greater importance than the area of nutrition an area that today is very much neglected. Nutrition is of paramount importance when it comes to nourishing the body and ensuring that we are able to function at our optimum.
